The vector-borne disease is the most national and international research topics these days. As per research, most of the vector borne diseases are transmitted by ticks and mosquitoes. A person who gets bitten by a vector gets sick with such vector-borne disease. These diseases are actually transmitted from the blood-feeding arthropods. Example of such diseases are dengue fever, West Nile Virus and malaria.
Vector-borne disease is the most common world problems, but as per the case description, despite such condition, U.S government has stopped the funding for such vector-borne diseases. A huge amount has been removed from the financial budget of that particular year for the vector-borne disease program of the centre for disease control and prevention (CDC). But these programs are still funded by some of the small agencies in order to promote the awareness and the remedy.
In the country, most of the vector-borne disease in the year causes huge investment and have losses in productivity. These diseases often progress to some complication like haemorrhagic fever, that lead to some more harmful physical problems, cognitive impairment and even leads to early death.
As per opinion. This cost reduction from such big sector of disease would lead to poor public health response and its limited effectiveness. This would anyhow increase the health sector cost. It would affect the economic condition of the country as well. Fund reduction in one sector can cause huge loss for the economic condition of the country. Also, reduces the opportunities for the training, jobs, strategic partnership between local and federal partners would be a problem. This huge loss if happened, recovery from same would be difficult.
Hence, stopping of such funding in epidemic condition would cause most life-threatening diseases for long term.
